Sam Addington takes a multi-faceted approach to make-up. Drawing from an education that includes studies in make-up, fashion design and painting, her work is at once fresh and creative. Sam’s style enables her transition effortlessly between the disciplines of beauty, fashion and portraiture photography, as well as moving image. She has collaborated with photographers Walter Chin, Pamela Hanson, Kenneth Willardt, Jean Francois Campos, Will Davidson, Andreas Laszlo, and Platon, among others. Her editorial work has been published in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Vanity Fair, in addition to Interview, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Glamour, and more. Her advertising clients have included Neiman Marcus and Pierre Balmain.
Sam’s interests and experience cease to end there. She has parlayed her knowledge and expertise into consulting, often weighing in on product, creative direction, education, and marketing strategies with beauty companies and advertising agencies. Her most recent pairing was with MAKE Colour, becoming the brand’s Resident Artist, a collaboration that helped launch the Post-Impression Collection for Fall 2013. She also contributes her skills to magazine and other publications. Most recently, she served as Beauty Director at Oyster.
